Job Summary:

Registered Nurse PICU provides specialized pediatric critical care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. This role supports safe medication administration, continuous assessment, and timely escalation based on changes in patient condition.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pediatric intensive care nursing for patients from infancy through young adulthood (up to 25 years).
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and other patient monitoring data to identify clinical changes.
• Administer and titrate inotropes and support patient care in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Perform safe medication administration practices, including verification and documentation.
• Prepare patients and assist with epilepsy monitoring workflows as needed for specialized care.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to maintain quality, safety, and continuity.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio RN license in hand or a valid compact state RN license for eligible starts.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (active, not pending).
• Possess 18 months of recent pediatric experience.
• Complete 18 months of combined permanent specialty experience in PICU/neonatal/pediatric critical care (epilepsy monitoring experience preferred).
• Demonstrate proficiency with EKG/ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration competency.
• Provide two manager-level references (ANM, supervisor, or director) from assignments worked within the past 12 months.
