Job Summary:

Travel - RN - SICU (650) provides advanced critical care nursing for patients in an intensive care/surgical ICU setting. The role delivers high-acuity care using evidence-based practices and advanced life-support technologies to support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment
• Administer and titrate medication drips and vasoactive therapies per protocol
• Manage advanced therapies including CRRT, hypothermia protocols, balloon pump support, and ECMO-related care
• Perform and support invasive procedures including central line care and chest tube management
• Coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and escalation for high acuity
• Maintain accurate charting in the Meditech EMR and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and be eligible for travel assignment requirements
• Possess a minimum of 1–2 years of current acute care hospital ICU experience
• Demonstrate proficiency with ACLS and BLS; maintain ongoing competency
• Apply critical care assessment and intervention skills across high-acuity patient populations
• Maintain TNCC certification (preferred) and demonstrate experience supporting trauma and post-surgical ICU patients
• Apply NIH skills (preferred) when caring for appropriate patient populations
