Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and delivering interventions to optimize recovery and function.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine functional limitations and treatment needs.
• Develop and implement personalized plans of care and therapeutic interventions.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment goals, exercises, and recovery processes.
• Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records for billing and compliance.
• Support lead clinicians in training and mentoring new staff and students.
• Exercise independent judgment on moderately complex cases with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New Jersey Physical Therapy license and be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Demonstrate experience working in large acute care or academic medical settings.
• Possess a Board Certification as a Specialist in an appropriate clinical area (preferred).
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.
• 0-4 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred.
