Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the endoscopy unit, assisting with procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy. Ensure patient safety and comfort while supporting physicians and staff during interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient vitals throughout procedures.
• Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment, including Olympus devices and scope reprocessing.
• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Document procedures and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Provide patient education and bedside care pre- and post-procedure.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient unit operations and patient flow.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess endoscopy experience, including scope reprocessing (preferred).
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR system (preferred).
• Have experience with procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be adaptable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
