Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient management in a high-acuity obstetric setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to laboring women, monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.
• Document patient progress and clinical notes accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including childbirth complications or fetal distress.
• Educate patients and their families on labor processes, postpartum care, and breastfeeding.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care during shifts.

Qualifications:

• Maintain active South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN certification; preferred certifications include AWHONN Advanced, STABLE, and NRPC.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and experience with Omnicell medication systems.
• Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend, with flexibility to accommodate block schedules pending approval.
