Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled GI/Endo RN to provide specialized inpatient and outpatient endoscopy care. The ideal candidate will manage various endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchoscopies, and EUS with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, and documentation such as biopsies, cytology, and pathology specimens.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, high-level disinfection (HLD), and universal protocols.
• Restock and organize supplies, maintaining inventory for efficient workflow.
• Support patient care by monitoring vital signs, providing education, and managing post-procedure recovery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year recent endoscopy or GI nursing experience.
• Proficient in EPIC charting and familiar with endoscopic equipment including scopes, electrosurgical units, and fluoroscopy.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of sterilization, disinfection, and infection control procedures.
• Able to handle diverse procedures such as foreign body removal, dilations, and biopsies.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
