Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled RN for the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) to provide specialized patient care for cardiac and neuro patients in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have ICU experience and the ability to adapt quickly to complex clinical situations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and neuro patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor patient vitals, respond to emergencies, and update care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress accurately in EPIC electronic health records.
• Float within scope to three hospital locations as needed to meet facility demands.
• Complete required time-sensitive modules prior to start date, including Epic training.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 18 months of ICU experience, with 2 years preferred.
• Have current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications at time of submission.
• Hold NIHSS certification prior to start date.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EHR, ideally at a level 3 or 4.
• Be Nicotine-free, with negative 10-panel drug screen and cotinine test.
• Be able to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and follow facility policies for RTO and background checks.
