Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the ICU provides advanced patient care to critically ill patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized treatment plans. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with clinical standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient physical and psychosocial status using age-specific data and documentation.
• Perform ongoing assessments, including observations, physical examinations, and analysis of test results.
• Document patient responses to interventions and update medical records accurately.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning to identify and clarify patient needs.
• Support other staff in delivering high-quality patient care and education.
• Incorporate discharge planning and patient teaching to enhance recovery outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Illinois RN license and active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ICU skills, including assessment, intervention, and documentation.
• Provide two supervisory reference forms with employment dates.
• Reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
