Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the LTAC setting provides specialized nursing care to long-term acute care residents. This role involves assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and ensuring quality healthcare delivery in a critical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and healthcare team members regarding resident status and changes.
• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications following the 5 Rights and maintain safety protocols.
• Perform wound care and monitor wound healing progress.
• Assist Certified Nursing Assistants with call light management and resident needs.
• Lead floor activities by assessing situations and coordinating care, ensuring resident safety and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Hold and maintain a valid Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
• Possess a two-year nursing degree; a four-year degree is preferred.
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification.
• Have at least 1 year of related clinical experience; LTAC experience preferred.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, specialized healthcare environment.
