Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, monitoring and assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and ensuring optimal outcomes. This role requires teamwork, clinical expertise, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, including trach care, chest tubes, and wound dressing changes.
• Monitor patient conditions using EMR systems and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in Cerner EMR.
• Follow unit policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and have at least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with trachs, chest tubes, and wound care procedures.
• Experience working in a telemetry, PCU, or stepdown setting preferred.
• Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Adaptable, flexible, and exhibit a high level of clinical competence.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is a plus.
