Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a temporary assignment in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will bring strong ED background with pediatric experience and be adaptable to a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage patient needs, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring using specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse patient population.
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC electronic health records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
• Float between units as needed, covering various patient care areas within the ED.
• Uphold safety protocols and ensure proper use of specialty equipment like Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license and all required licenses with verification.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience, including pediatric cases.
• Possess current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCCT certifications.
• Be proficient with EPIC EMR and possess a valid driver’s license matching demographics.
• Be able to work the shift hours of 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and adapt to float requirements.
