Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides evidence-based, culturally relevant outpatient behavioral health treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders. Offers a range of clinical services including individual, group, family, and marital therapy, along with assessments, care coordination, and crisis intervention. Collaborates within a multidisciplinary team to support client recovery and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct culturally sensitive screenings, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning to meet client needs.
- Deliver trauma-informed care and integrate mental health and substance use disorder interventions based on individual evaluations.
- Develop and review personalized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing coping strategies, self-care, and symptom management.
- Provide crisis intervention within clinic hours and share rotating after-hours emergency services in rural clinics.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within electronic health records, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate care with the health system and community agencies to ensure appropriate referrals and comprehensive treatment.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Possess or be eligible for licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT; licensure must be maintained during employment.
- Demonstrate experience in behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Have knowledge of federal and state reporting, documentation standards, and confidentiality regulations such as HIPAA.
- Show ability to assess risk of suicide or self-harm and develop safety plans.
- Maintain a valid State of Alaska Driver’s License or obtain within 6 months of hire.
