Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides Therapeutic treatment services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, supporting patient rehabilitation and functional capacity restoration. This role involves delivering clinical interventions, collaborating with team members, and educating patients and families to maximize recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Implement prescribed physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with licensed physical therapists.
• Review patient records, case histories, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members.
• Document all patient encounters, treatments, diagnoses, and progress in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, equipment use, and self-care techniques.
• Assist in acquiring and fitting durable medical equipment and devices based on patient needs.
• Participate in community outreach, off-site clinics, and remote assessments to facilitate holistic patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 3 months' clinical experience preferred, with acute and outpatient settings valued.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, musculoskeletal physiology, gait analysis, and treatment planning.
• Effective communication skills, proficiency with healthcare technology, and ability to work in diverse clinical environments.
