Job Summary:
The Nurse Educator is responsible for developing and delivering clinical education programs for healthcare staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. They serve as a key resource in promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the clinical team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement educational curricula tailored to staff training needs.
• Conduct classroom and simulation-based learning sessions utilizing mannequins and specialized software.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and modify content as needed to meet learning objectives.
• Collaborate with department managers and quality teams to identify and address educational gaps.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and hospital policies through ongoing training initiatives.
• Support hospital initiatives by participating in quality improvement activities and staff development.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher; Master’s preferred.
• Possess a current Oregon RN license.
• Obtain and maintain Healthcare Provider CPR, ACLS, PALS, and CNOR certifications.
• Bring at least 5 years of hospital nursing experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the OR setting.
• Demonstrate experience in clinical education, course development, and simulation training.
• Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
