Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is responsible for providing essential support in the operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, and outpatient surgery areas. They maintain a sterile environment and prepare necessary equipment to ensure smooth surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies to facilitate surgical procedures.
• Maintain aseptic techniques, ensuring all areas are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Assist surgical staff with setting up and passing instruments during surgeries.
• Support clerical tasks related to departmental administrative duties as assigned.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures concerning sterilization and safety protocols.
• Respond efficiently to urgent needs, working effectively under stressful situations.

Qualifications:

• Hold current certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists.
• Possess a minimum of one year of hospital surgical experience preferred.
• Be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Exhibit physical ability to lift and handle surgical instruments and equipment.
• Show proficiency in working with diverse surgical teams and physicians.
