Job Summary:

Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and providing support to surgical teams. Ensure adherence to safety and sterilization standards to maintain a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Sterilize and organize surgical instruments in accordance with protocols.
• Assist surgical teams by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Support patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Follow hospital policies regarding infection control and sterility.
• Document and communicate relevant clinical information as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of surgical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular procedures.
• Be able to work night shifts and commit to a 13-week assignment.
• Must have strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical protocols.
• Eligible to review pending state licenses if applicable.
