Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients on a busy orthopedic/spine unit, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal recovery. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, efficient healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions thoroughly and prioritize nursing interventions accordingly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to coordinate care.
• Monitor and utilize new equipment such as Alaris pumps and remote telemetry to ensure patient safety.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, including emergencies and urgent situations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience.
• Demonstrate punctuality, strong organizational skills, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Possess advanced assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Capable of quickly adapting to new procedures and technology, including 12-Lead EKGs and wound care.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred but optional.
