Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound, ensuring compliance with MQSA and ACR guidelines. Provides patient education, maintains quality control, and supports department workflow to promote optimal breast health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute breast imaging procedures accurately and safely, adhering to established protocols.
  • Review patient requisitions for clinical consistency and demographic correctness.
  • Operate and maintain mammography and stereotactic equipment, performing routine quality control checks.
  • Educate patients throughout the imaging process, guiding them on next steps and addressing concerns.
  • Document exam details precisely, communicate findings to radiologists, and coordinate with healthcare team members.
  • Assist with departmental workflow, scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Hold ARRT certification in Mammography (M) and current BLS certification.
  • Possess at least 1 year of healthcare or imaging experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in mammography, stereotactic, and ultrasound procedures.
  • Display excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain current CEUs (24 credits every two years) as per ARRT standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under stress and maintain patient confidentiality.
