Job Summary:
Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center. The RN will deliver acute care, perform advanced procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care in the emergency department.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses using GE monitors and Baxter pumps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient interactions and clinical data accurately in Cerner system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, providing respectful, compassionate communication.
• Maintain certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC) before start date and uphold hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active valid RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years’ experience working in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in critical care procedures and trauma protocols.
• Exhibit teamwork, adaptability, and coaching skills.
• Be flexible to float within ED departments and work varying shifts, including weekends.
• Complete required certifications prior to employment.
