Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week contract with potential extension. The nurse will provide comprehensive obstetric care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Manage labor and delivery processes, including fetal monitoring and vaginal exams.
• Administer newborn and postpartum care following clinical protocols.
• Start IVs, perform medical screening exams, and assess patient conditions.
• Document care accurately in Cerner EMR and utilize PeriWatch fetal monitoring system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with certifications, including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of one year recent L&D experience.
• Possess current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
• Demonstrate proficiency in newborn care, postpartum support, and labor management.
• Previous travel experience is preferred; must have recent nursery or level 1-2 experience.
• Ability to pass travel compliance requirements, including verification of residency within 50 miles for local rate.
