Job Summary:
The Med/Surg Tele RN provides high-quality nursing care to adult patients on medical-surgical telemetry units. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety, with potential to float to additional units and the Emergency Department as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and monitor vital signs regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Recognize and respond promptly to abnormal ECG rhythms and other patient issues.
• Document patient care accurately and update medical records diligently.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 18 months recent and perm experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing.
• Possess a valid Ohio license or a compact license in hand at the time of application.
• Active American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills and patient assessment.
• Provide at least one verifiable managerial or supervisory reference in the specialty.
