Job Summary:

Experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, providing comprehensive patient care during childbirth and postpartum recovery. Responsible for supporting physiologic births and ensuring optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health during labor, administering interventions as necessary.
• Perform circulating duties for Cesarean sections, epidurals, and other obstetric procedures.
• Provide postpartum care, including stabilization and transfer of newborns in level 1 nursery settings.
• Support physiologic birth practices, promoting low C-section and epidural rates.
• Document care accurately in Epic and ensure compliance with all charting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid CA RN license and current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Labor and Delivery, Cesarean sections, recoveries, and postpartum care.
• Experience with level 1 nursery and lactation desired.
• Ability to work in all areas of obstetric care, including water labor and birth support.
• Strong knowledge of Epic charting and AHA or Red Cross certification standards.
