Job Summary:

Coordinate and deliver comprehensive care to adult patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly and accurately upon admission and throughout shift.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal ECG rhythms, ensuring timely intervention.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and in compliance with facility standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Support safe and effective telemetry monitoring and respond to alarms appropriately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio RN license or Compact State license in HANDAHA.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent and perm experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS active and current.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Pass an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
• Provide at least one recent supervisory reference in the relevant specialty.
