Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive perinatal care. The ideal candidate will support physiologic birth practices and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine activity using fetal monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications, including epidurals, in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Assist in Cesarean sections and various delivery methods as circulating staff.
• Support water labor, water births, and physiologic birth initiatives.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to stabilize and transfer newborns to level 1 nursery when needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN license and current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, Cesarean sections, recoveries, and postpartum care.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and obstetric procedures.
• Be willing to work night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.
• Provide recent references and verification of 7-year work history.
• Have flexibility to work in all areas of the unit, including nursery and lactation support.
