Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical/Telemetry provides specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring quality patient outcomes and safety during night shifts. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, including high-acuity patients, and requires adaptability for unit float responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stroke, TIA, and high-acuity medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments using the Omnicell system following hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, accurately document clinical findings in the EPIC EMR system, and respond to urgent needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to other units as needed, providing competent care aligned with documented skills and competencies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active TN RN license and minimum 1 year of recent ER or high-acuity medical-surgical experience.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience with proficiency in medication administration systems.
• Possess current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Be able to work the night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) on a 3x12 schedule.
• Complete pre-assignment testing, modules, and orientation requirements within 48 hours of contract start.
