Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide expert orthopedic nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including those undergoing orthopedic surgeries and procedures. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' medical conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, monitor telemetry, and manage post-surgical care.
• Lead and participate in charge nurse shifts, ensuring quality care standards.
• Provide physical therapy support within the unit and facilitate patient mobility.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists to coordinate patient treatment.
• Ensure compliance with all institutional policies, including pass/fail EKG exams and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state in hand.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant orthopedic RN experience.
• Possess at least one year of previous travel nursing experience.
• Experienced with charge nurse responsibilities and telemetry monitoring.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must have EPIC electronic medical record experience.
