Job Summary:
The IMC/PCU/Stepdown Nurse is responsible for providing specialized patient care in intermediate or stepdown units, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and patient safety. This role requires clinical expertise, vigilance, and adaptability across various hospital campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, recognizing early signs of deterioration.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Manage complex cardiac rhythms, including interpretation and dysrhythmia management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
• Float between multiple campuses as needed, ensuring consistent quality of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Be BLS, ACLS, and NIH certified.
• Have experience managing peripheral lines, PICC lines, and titrating IV drips.
• Be familiar with patient-to-nurse ratios and float procedures.
