Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide expert care in the Emergency Department, managing a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in emergency settings, including pediatric care, and possess current certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing care to patients presenting with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess patient needs and implement appropriate interventions.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun to stabilize and treat patients.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Float between units as needed, providing consistent, high-quality care across different patient populations.
• Maintain readiness to respond to high-acuity situations, demonstrating charge nurse capabilities when required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license and all necessary state licenses, including documentation of multi-state versatility.
• Possess 2+ years of recent ED experience, including pediatric care, with documented travel experience preferred.
• Certification in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCCT is required and must be current.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC EMR and pediatric care procedures.
• Possess valid driver’s licenses matching address demographics; must provide verification.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including block scheduling and float coverage.
