Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist specializes in performing high-quality CT imaging procedures and administering radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with medical protocols. They ensure equipment functionality, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold safety standards to support diagnostic accuracy and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment using appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce diagnostic images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on imaging and radiopharmaceutical equipment.
• Inject patients with radiopharmaceuticals following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
• Document all procedures accurately, including logs, manuals, charge records, and equipment issues.
• Conduct quality control, safety tests, and ensure radiation safety guidelines are followed to comply with ALARA.
• Prepare, verify, and document radiopharmaceutical doses prior to administration and maintain patient imaging data.

Qualifications:

• Hold a New York State License (L.R.T) as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT imaging experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
