Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Ensures patient stability and safety during recovery from anesthesia and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and neurological status during recovery.
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document patient progress and intervention outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations with appropriate clinical actions.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year PACU experience required; alternative experience in Med/Surg or Critical Care accepted if PACU experience is unavailable.
• Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Proficient in Epic and Cerner electronic health record systems.
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills and clinical judgment.
• Prior travel experience with at least 2 years preferred.
• Ability to work rotating day shifts and handle call responsibilities, including weekends and weeknights.
