Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing expert nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions. This role involves monitoring patient status, administering treatments, and ensuring optimal recovery within a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor cardiac and vital signs using telemetry equipment, ensuring continuous patient assessment.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols.
• Manage complex care needs including IV therapy, wound care, feeding tube management, and port access.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control policies, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license and current healthcare provider certifications (BLS, NIH).
• At least 2 years of inpatient telemetry and medical surgical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC EHR system and remote telemetry monitoring.
• Experienced in wound care, IV insertion, blood product administration, and port management.
• Ability to manage multiple patient co-morbidities within a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
