Job Summary:


Seeking experienced CVICU Registered Nurses to provide specialized cardiac care in a level I trauma and acute care setting. The role involves managing complex post-operative cardiac patients and utilizing advanced equipment and procedures.



Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to post-op open heart, cardiac, and vascular surgery patients.
• Monitor hemodynamic status using advanced equipment such as Impella, IABP, ECMO, and art lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient treatment plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies according to protocols, including CRRT, bedside procedures, and surgical interventions.
• Float within scope to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED, and PACU as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, certifications, and equipment protocols.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
• Valid RN license with at least 1-2 years of CVICU experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with post-op open hearts, CABG, aneurysm repair, and related diagnoses.
• Ability to operate critical care equipment such as Ultrasound, Phillips monitors, and Dopplers.
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly to emergent patient changes.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19, with exemptions processed as per policy.
