Job Summary:

The Recovery Room RN is responsible for providing specialized care to post-anesthesia patients in a busy PACU setting. This role involves monitoring patient recovery, managing pain, and ensuring safe anesthesia clearance for discharge.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient care and recovery for post-anesthesia patients across all age groups.
• Monitor vital signs, sedation levels, and overall patient status during the recovery process.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform procedures such as nerve blocks and epidurals.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and smooth transitions.
• Document all patient care activities accurately within Epic electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and utilize advanced airway management and ventilator skills as needed.

Qualifications:

• Accept candidates with at least 1 year of PACU experience and ICU background.
• Hold valid Registered Nurse license and proof of application for Washington state license.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and IV insertion, PICC lines, and PA lines.
• Credentialed in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Possess current pediatric care and tele-interpretation skills preferred.
• Have excellent clinical judgment and ability to work variable shifts including on-call nights.
