Job Summary:

Provide speech-language therapy services to residents at a veterans home, evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders to improve patients' quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ speech, language, and swallowing functions to determine therapy needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Implement therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and activities.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
• Document therapy sessions and patient outcomes in compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Demonstrate experience in adult or geriatric therapy settings.
• Exhibit strong assessment and clinical documentation skills.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Be available for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed hours.
• Be flexible to work in a veterans home setting.
