Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. This role requires expert assessment, monitoring, and intervention to support patient recovery and stabilization.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations specific to ICU patients.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical record system to document patient progress accurately.
• Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms, ensuring prompt response to abnormalities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Complete required assessments, safety checks, and certifications before start, including ECG and safeMedicate tests.
• Adhere to travel compliance requirements, including license verification, background checks, and drug screens.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio license or a Compact license valid for coverage starting 01/01/23 or later.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent, permanent ICU experience prior to travel.
• Have active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, with NIH certification obtained before start.
• Demonstrate ICU-specific skills through references from recent managers, supervisors, or directors.
• Show proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and passing safeMedicate assessments with an acceptable score.
• Be nicotine-free, with a recent negative drug screen within the past 12 months, unless exempt as a Nurse or CST.
