Job Summary:
The MRI Technician is responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining image quality according to radiologist specifications. They will communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients on the examining table and select appropriate coils based on the scan protocol.
• Demonstrate and utilize microphone communication systems to assist patient comfort and safety.
• Input patient information, scan parameters, and anatomical details accurately into the computer system.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures via control room observations and closed-circuit TV to ensure safety and comfort.
• View and assess images to confirm quality and adequacy before completion of the scan.
• Alert staff of any safety hazards related to metal objects in or around the MRI environment.

Qualifications:

• Possess 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technician.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
• Hold a valid NJ State RT License and MRI Certification.
• Maintain BLS Certification and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret medical documentation.
