Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing for cardiac intensive care unit patients, including those undergoing open heart surgery, ECMO, and other advanced cardiac procedures. Ensures high-quality patient monitoring and interventions to support recovery and stability.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced cardiac and postoperative care to ICU patients with complex diagnoses.
• Monitor and operate specialized equipment such as Impella, ECMO, and CRRT to support patient stability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond quickly to emergent situations like cardiac arrest, sepsis, or significant hemodynamic changes.
• Float within scope to other ICU units, PCU floors, ED, or PACU as needed to meet patient care demands.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current registered nurse (RN) license with pending or active license validation.
• Require 2 years of recent CVICU or critical care experience; ER travel experience preferred.
• Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with advanced cardiac equipment and procedures.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
