Job Description
Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, treats, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. They develop individualized care plans, utilizing evidence-based assessments and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in patients.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans compliant with regulatory and clinical standards.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions as needed, and document outcomes accurately.
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding speech and swallowing disorders.
- Communicate patient progress and treatment updates effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain detailed electronic patient records.
Qualifications:
- Hold active ASHA and State Licensure Submission Requirements.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLP, ideally in LTC or rehab settings.
- Be CCC-certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Hold a valid Oklahoma State License.
- New graduates with Level II experience are acceptable.
- Demonstrate adherence to ASHA ethical standards and state regulation compliance.
