Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Electrophysiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Collaborate with medical teams to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Administer patient assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
- Monitor vital signs, sedation levels, and patient responses during procedures.
- Assist physicians with catheter placement, device implantation, and electrophysiology testing.
- Document all clinical interventions and procedural details accurately.
- Provide post-procedure care and patient education to ensure recovery and understanding.
- Respond to on-call needs, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
- Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular or cath lab setting.
- Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, on-call shifts, and weekends.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
