Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery Unit, supporting women through childbirth and postpartum recovery. Serve as a vital team member in managing laboring patients, postpartum care, and neonatal nursing, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for mothers and infants.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and care for laboring patients throughout all stages of labor.
• Assist with postpartum recovery, including newborn care and assessments.
• Perform triage assessments and manage non-stress tests (NSTs).
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Support overflow duties, including staffing backup and assisting other shifts.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education during labor and postpartum periods.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess at least 1-2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or OB/GYN nursing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring, newborn assessments, and postpartum care.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be compassionate, patient-focused, and able to handle high-pressure situations.
• Current BLS and NRP certification required.
