Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty provides comprehensive patient care to individuals across various medical conditions, ensuring adherence to standards of practice and protocols. They deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing interventions that promote patient dignity and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications, including intravenous therapies, following physician orders and hospital policies.
• Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout their stay, utilizing standardized pain scales and diagnostic data.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during daily rounds to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge procedures, and health maintenance based on individual needs.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and promptly to ensure continuity of care.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions, including life-saving measures and alerts to physicians.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an active MA RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year med-surg experience preferred; telemetry experience a plus.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required within 60 days of hire.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
