Job Summary:
Provides specialized nephrology nursing care to patients, assessing their needs and delivering comprehensive treatment plans. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes while educating patients and their families on condition management.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nephrology patient care through thorough assessment and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care strategies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on kidney health, treatment processes, and medication management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Prioritize patient needs and escalate safety concerns promptly to prevent adverse events.
• Document nursing practices accurately using institutional information technology to support quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NYS RN License and a BSN degree.
• Bring at least two years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Have one year of traveler or temporary staffing experience preferred.
• Possess BLS certification and demonstrate strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
