Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide inpatient mental health care on a locked unit, supporting adult behavioral health patients with various psychiatric diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have experience with geriatric psych patients and possess relevant certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications, including IV therapy and wound care, ensuring patient safety.
• Perform hands-on patient care such as incontinence management, mobility assistance, and catheter insertions.
• Document patient status and treatment plans accurately using Epic and other communication tools.
• Respond to patient needs, including safety checks and 1:1 observations for involuntary patients when required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and unit procedures, including seclusion and crisis management.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid NH RN license with at least 1 year of experience in geriatric psychiatric inpatient settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in psychiatric units, including managing patients with dementia, mood disorders, and acute psychiatric illnesses.
• Possess current BCLS and CPI certifications; AHA and Red Cross certifications preferred.
• Experienced in the use of lift equipment, Foley catheters, wound care, and IV therapies.
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and managing patients with mobility deficits.
