Job Summary:
Provides support to licensed Physical Therapists by delivering prescribed therapeutic interventions and modalities. Assists patients across all age groups in restoring mobility, preventing disability, and maximizing functional independence. Contributes to departmental operations and quality improvement initiatives to ensure effective patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans and modalities under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Evaluate patient responses to therapies and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Assist in patient education to promote activity, safety, and independence.
• Participate in infection control, equipment training, and departmental safety programs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (CAPTE-approved).
• Hold or be eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Alaska.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Preferably have relevant clinical experience.
