Job Description
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist will provide specialized support in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization unit, performing a range of interventional procedures to assist cardiologists. This role requires technical expertise, efficiency, and excellent team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with and perform left/right heart catheterizations, peripheral angiograms, and arterial interventions.
- Operate and troubleshoot GE Innova fluoroscopy equipment and other imaging systems.
- Prepare and manage patient access for procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
- Support complex procedures such as Impella insertion, balloon pump management, and thrombectomy.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system and communicate effectively with team members.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to on-call requirements, staying within response time guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrate previous experience with interventional caths, radiology, and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Possess knowledge of Epic GE Maclab or Cardiolab capabilities.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a cath lab setting.
- Show strong teamwork, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
