Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures provides expert patient care in a high-acuity, trauma center setting. The role involves performing assessments, administering treatments, and supporting patient education during complex radiology and vascular interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to deliver comprehensive patient care in IR and special procedures.
• Perform assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved protocols, standards of care, and legal requirements.
• Accurately document all patient care activities to meet organizational standards and legal compliances.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, peer review, and evidence-based practice guideline development.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with valid IL RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in critical care.
• Proven experience in cardiovascular intervention or special procedures preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Successful completion of EKG test prior to orientation completion.
