Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stepdown unit, providing specialized care to adult and geriatric cardiac patients. The role involves managing complex cardiac conditions with a focus on arrhythmia management and post-procedure recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin.
• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms, performing arrhythmia recognition and interventions.
• Support patients with CHF, chest pain, post-cardiac catheterization, and vascular procedures.
• Respond to clinical emergencies such as cardioversion and acute decompensation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress accurately within electronic medical records systems.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in cardiac care.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac drips, arrhythmia management, and post-procedural care.
• Strong knowledge of Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication.
• Ability to float within scope of practice to other units as needed.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and respond to call within 2 hours.
