TactStaff EDU is connecting with passionate School Social Workers interested in opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year in Chicago, Illinois and surrounding communities.

We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Opportunities may include placements in public schools, charter schools, and specialized education programs across the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Illinois Social Work licensure
• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Valid Illinois license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) (LSW or LCSW)
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement (required for school settings)
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary school team
• Strong communication, counseling, and problem-solving skills

Experience

• Experience providing social work services in a school setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of IDEA and Illinois special education compliance standards
• Experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, and social needs
• Ability to contribute to IEPs, behavior plans, and student support services
• Experience collaborating with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
