Job Summary:
Recognized as a critical care unit, the IMC/PCU/Stepdown nurse provides specialized care for patients requiring ongoing monitoring and treatment beyond the standard medical-surgical level. This role involves managing complex conditions with a focus on patient safety and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer post-cath care, including TR band management, and monitor advanced pulmonary treatments.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, utilizing AIDET communication techniques and medication teaching.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately within Meditech.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Perform advanced procedures and titrate medications as ordered.
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess minimum 2 years of ICU, PCU, or stepdown experience.
• Have proficiency in managing TR bands, pulmonary treatments, and medication titration.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Show excellent communication and documentation skills.
