Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1)
2026–2027 School Year

TactStaff EDU is connecting with passionate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) educators interested in opportunities for the 2026–2027 academic year across the most populated regions of Illinois.
We are seeking dedicated, student-centered special education professionals committed to supporting diverse learners in both inclusive and specialized educational settings. Opportunities may include placements within public schools, charter schools, and specialized education programs at the elementary, middle, or high school level, depending on school needs.
This is a great opportunity to connect early, explore upcoming school-based roles, and position yourself for placement for the 2026–2027 school year.
Qualifications
• Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or related field
• Eligible for school-based credentialing in the State of Illinois
• ESL, bilingual, or additional endorsements preferred but not required
• CPI training preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Experience
• Experience providing special education services in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of IDEA regulations and Illinois State Board of Education compliance standards
• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying academic and behavioral needs
